Society's Friday, September 9 - Sunday, September 12, 2010 The Minnesota Astronomical Society 2nd annual Northern Nights Starfest will be 3 nights this year! The dates are Thursday, September 9 through Sunday, September 12. We moved it to September to provide for even longer, darker nights. Food, lodging and facilities will be provided at our premiere dark sky site, LLCC in rural Aitkin County. Class size is limited; Register early! Fall Colors!! ...A beautiful time of year. This photography class will focus on using various digital "SLR" settings on your camera to create macro photos (close-ups) and discover the effects of setting the depth of field. Also, using a tripod to get crisp, sharp photos. Basic knowledge of your camera is required for this class. To register, please call LLCC at 800-450-5522, Monday - Thursday between 8 am & 4:30 pm, or Friday between 8 am & Noon. Registration deadline is October 7, 2010. Class size is limited.
