Campus Tour...

North Star Lodge

Completed in 1999, the Lodge has 16 guest rooms (total capacity 128), each with 8 beds, a shower, toilet, and two sinks. The Great Hall, the Lodge's central meeting room, features a fireplace and space for up to 75 people.
Dining Hall

Long Lake is known for delicious food, served in our sunny dining hall. With seating for up to 250, the dining room also serves as a large meeting area.
Marcum House

The Marcum House meeting room offers a small amphitheater for group gatherings and a beautiful lakeside meeting room with a great view of the lake. Thirteen guest sleeping rooms offer similar amenities to the North Star Lodge, for 92 people.
Little Red School House

Once LLCC's "mess hall," the School House (remoded in 2004) is now utiliized as a classroom, serving area, meeting space, and office/preparation space for naturalists.
Lakeside Lab

A learning center home to much of Long Lake's scientific equipment, the lab provides students with a place to study natural phenomena.
Ski Hut and Big Foot Den Flanking the lab, these rooms provide staging areas and store equipment for winter activities: cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
Energy Center The Energy Center houses five wood-fired furnaces, providing heat for the whole campus.
Orienteering Courses

A practice orienteering course in an open field helps students learn navigational skills using compasses. For a greater challenge, six courses (one handicapped accessible) wind through Long Lake's woods.
Archery Range

With stations for eight archers, a roomy shelter and a waiting bench, LLCC's archery range provides a safe place for students to practice skills with bows and arrows.
Trails

Miles of trails pass through diverse habitats on LLCC's 760 acres, including deciduous forest, meadows, upland pine plantations, tamarack bog, and lakeshore.
Challenge Cooperation Course

Teamwork challenges, found along a wooded trail, combine mental, physical and social efforts. Stations include the Maze, Bird on a Wire, Lava River, Teeter-Totter and the Wall.
Long Lake

130-acre Long Lake is the focal point of campus, center stage for wildlife observation, collection of microscopic specimens, canoeing, and other activities.
