Welcome to Long Lake...

As Long Lake is a part of the Aitkin County Parks System, it is open to visitors to come in and enjoy the hiking trails and splendor of its natural surroundings.

The Ski Trails are kept groomed and are a part of the Minnesota Ski Pass System.  Long Lake is also a great place for snow shoeing and birdwatching with its many species of birds that travel through the area year round. 

The campus and various landscape terrains also make Long Lake Conservation Center a destination for avid nature photographers.  From the wetlands and bogs to the forests towering on the hillside, there are plenty of subjects to focus in on.

Stop by the Administration Building if you arrive on a weekday to let us know you are on the grounds.  Three are many students from Minnesota Schools taking part in activities around the grounds and we can let you know what areas are being used for classes.
