We hope you find our archive useful. . . or at least interesting! LLCC Phenology from past years... Activity: You can easily start your own phenology archive to see how things change, or remain the same, from year to year. Use a calendar with space to write to jot down things you observe, such as the temp, the weather, birds you see, or any signs of the changing of the seasons. Anything that you notice about nature. Enter the time of day you observe the activity. Keep your records and compare them as years go by to look for patterns or similarities of animal and bird movements or changes in the weather and other natural phenomena.

is the observation of natural phenomena as relates to
the changing seasons. At Long Lake, we've been keeping a
running list of observations by staff and visitors for
many years now. Records since 1998 are available here.
